The Center for Human Enrichment Student Support Services is funded through a TRIO grant from the U.S. Department of Education and receives matching support from the University of Northern Colorado. PR/Award Number P042A060794. For 2006-2007 $445,688 (100 %) total funds; $268,918 (60 %) Federal funding and $176,770 (40 %) institutional matching funds.

The academic help that the Center for Human Enrichment provides is designed to foster an intellectual growth for its participants.

The various areas where CHE offers specific academic assistance are as follows:

• In-Class English Tutoring
  Upper-level UNC students are hired by CHE to sit-in on the English classes taught by our Curriculum Staff and assist students with writing-based difficulties.
• Out-of-Class English Tutoring
  These same Upper-level students are also available outside of class time to discuss students' written work.
• "Cornerstones" Workshops
  Workshops given by CHE student staff to enlighten students to various facets of university life and living, as well as to life after graduation.
