About CHE Activities

CHE believes that one of the best way to promote the success of its students is to get them involved in positive university-sponsored extra-curricular groups. Aside from the multitude of clubs and organizations that the university offers, CHE itself has a number of clubs meant to get our participants involved on campus.

Club CHE

Club CHE is a social organization that was formed in the Fall of 2005 by an eager bunch of CHE participants. The group has flourished and has organized and hosted events ranging from dances to award ceremonies and barbeques. Check the Activity Events tab for upcoming meeting dates, and check the Club CHE tab for information on joining this club.

Writing Club

The CHE Writing Club will begin during this coming year under the guidance of one of our esteemed English Faculty members, Steve Collins. The group will concentrate on learning, practicing, and sharing all forms of creative writing. Check the Activity Events tab for upcoming meeting dates and check the Writing Club tab for information on joining this club.

Other Activities

Occasionally events arise on campus that CHE students actively participate in. Since these activities depend on the university calendar, they are constant to change. However, as an example, in the Spring semester of 2006 when Maya Angelou visited UNC for the second time in her life, a majority of the students who helped staff the event were volunteers from the Center for Human Enrichment. Check the Activity Events tab for possible upcoming events.
