The Center for Human Enrichment Student Support Services is funded through a TRIO grant from the U.S. Department of Education and receives matching support from the University of Northern Colorado. PR/Award Number P042A060794. For 2006-2007 $445,688 (100 %) total funds; $268,918 (60 %) Federal funding and $176,770 (40 %) institutional matching funds.

A first-generation student herself, Julie enjoys supporting students as they pursue their goal of a college degree. She is a mom to two adult children; and she and her husband, Jim, love hiking, riding their bicycles, and listening to good music.

$Felicia\$	Felicia Rivera Position: Peer Advisor Entered CHE: August 2008 Email Address: rive8995@unco.edu Biography: CHE members and staff: My name is Felicia Rivera and I am one of the new additions to the CHE working family. I am a junior at UNC and have recently changed my major to History: Liberal Arts with a minor in Spanish. I expect to one day be a high school history teacher and later become an administrator. I am the second oldest in a family of five children. Also, like you, I am the first in my family to pursue a bachelor’s degree. I think I have the world’s best step father. He brought a true light to my life and gave me the experience of having a caring dad. My mother worked at my high school now and the entire time I attended, sometimes I had to watch myself a little more than other students. She is proud of all her children and shows it everyday. Overall, I am a simple girl that enjoys all the normal girl activities: shopping, tanning, workouts, manicures, and etcetera. One unusual aspect to me, which you could not spot by looking at me, how much I love music. It is one hobby I have and one day I wish to learn how to play guitar. $Dianne\$	Dianne Luark Position: Peer Advisor Entered CHE: August 2008 Email Address: dianne.luark@unco.edu Biography: Hi! My name is Dianne Luark and I am currently a junior at UNC. I was born and raised east of Greeley and attended K-12 at Platte Valley schools in Kersey. My major is Communication with an emphasis in Mass Communications. When I’m not in class you will find me outside working with my horses. I have been involved in barrel racing since I was a small child; it’s kind of a family thing!! Other than that, I enjoy spending time with my little dachshund “Bruno”, camping and hanging out with my family and friends.
