About CHE Curriculum

Cynthia Mitchell in mid-lecture to her English classAt the Center for Human Enrichment, our primary goal is to ensure that our students are prepared for the challenges of the academic environment and that they meet those challenges and succeed.

To achieve this goal, we offer a thematically linked, multicultural curriculum which emphasizes building the scholastic foundations necessary for success at UNC and beyond. In particular, we offer students opportunities to develop in the areas of written and oral expression, critical thinking, critical reading, and computer technology.

One of the many advantages of the Center for Human Enrichment curriculum is that we offer classes in which the student to teacher ratio is 15 to one. This means that our instructors have more time to provide students with individual attention. In addition to our low student to teacher ratio, we also provide in-class tutors who arrange and lead study sessions, small group tutorials, and individual consultation.
